Mr. John Benz, MHS's Senior Vice President & Chief Strategic Officer, is passionate about improving the health and well-being of their community. His story of reaching out to all the people in the community to improve their quality of lives will inspire and challenge all. Participants will experience a range of emotions as they lern how much of an influence one organization can have on its community, and will ultimately leave energized, imaging ways to make a difference in their own communities.
Mr. Benz is an active member of many community service and crisis intervention organizations. He holds a Master's in Business Administration and is a Diplomat in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also completed The Healthcare Forum's fellowship, focusing on ways to teach the various methods and means to improve community health and quality of life.

Dr. Thom Mayer will take a page out of his latest book, Leadership for Great Customer Service: Satisfied Patients, Satisfied Employees, where participants will hear humorous anecdotes on customer service as well as learn how to create and sustain a practical customer service program. Dr. Mayer will share successful strategies that anyone can employ to improve customer service and make their own jobs easier.
Dr. Mayer is President & CEO of BestPractices, Inc., the Medical Director for the NFL Players Association, Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at George Washington University and University of Virginia Schools of Medicine, and a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University. As one of the most widely-sought speakers on healthcare customer service, clinical care and medical leadership, Dr. Mayer has authored and edited hundreds of publications on customer service and emergency medicine.
